This article explains how to understand your virtual card usage from a wallet view by comparing the spending bar with the settlement list.

Let's use the below situation as an example:

    • You have created a virtual card with the amount of $999.00
    • When you view your wallet, you can see you have spent $962.99, and the remaining amount is $36.01
    • However, the settlement list in the wallet shows a lesser amount than the amount spent, which was only $562.22

The balance and spending shown in the wallet view are based on your authorisation-approved transaction. You might see the amount deducted, but the transaction is not listed in the settlement section because the merchant has yet to complete the process with the bank.

However, if the transaction has been ongoing for more than 7 days but is still not listed in the settlement list, it is not usually successful. You can ignore the authorisation charges as the actual charges are not occurring.

If you need to see the list of authorisation charges for the spending amount, you can contact Tradeshift Go support. We will help you by providing the reconciliation of breakdown charges, including the Authorisation charges that are not completed by the merchant.
